2nd day of essential oil gifts 2014 - Deodorizing Disk

These quick and easy baking soda disk are a must around the house and perfect for gift giving! Even the kiddos can help with this one. Not only can you use these as deodorizing disk, put feel free to add your favorite Young Living essential oil for many other uses.

You will need:

• 2 cups baking soda {Amazon link}
• 1/2 - 2/3 cup water
• Silicone mold (I use my Wilton silicone daisy pan {Amazon link} for just about everything)
• Essential oils of choice (Purification for deodorizing)

Instructions

Combine baking soda and water in a bowl. Mix it together to form a paste.

Fill your silicone mold with the paste. Fill each one only about 3/4 full.

Bake for 25-30 minutes on 400 degrees in the oven. Let cool.

Place about 4-5 drops of Young Living Purification essential oil on each disk. You can package anyway you'd like. I like to put them in a 8oz jar with lid to preserve the smell. These are great for anything or any place you want smelling clean and fresh. Some suggestions for where to place a disk: in each smelly shoe or on shoe rack, bottom of trash can, in your car, refrigerator, etc.

Day 39 Loving YL - Smelly dog help

Rainy day equals smelly dog! I don't have time to give him a bath and he'd just get dirty 5 seconds later in the wet grass. To take care of a smelly dog, I use my homemade doggy spray. I mix about 20 drops of Purification essential oil and witch hazel in a 2 oz bottle. I spray him down as needed.

Purification® can be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes. When diffused, it helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities including cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors.

Day 36 Loving YL - Burnt Smell Gone with Purification

There is no worse smell than that of burning plastic! A plastic straw fell onto the heating element in our dishwasher and started to burn. Phew-we!!! I'm now diffusing Purification essential oil to rid my kitchen of that awful smell.

Day 33 Loving YL - Dog Bed Freshener

My dog Sport's bed needs a good bath! But, I don't have time to wash it. Instead I spray it down with my Doggie Spray.

You will need:

• 2 ounces Witch Hazel {affiliate link}
• 2 Oz Cobalt Blue Glass Bottle with Black Fine Mist Sprayer{affiliate link}

Instructions

I mix 20 drops of Purification essential oil with 2oz witch hazel in a spray bottle. I use this same spray to spray him down when he stinks as well!

Day 21 Loving YL - Soothe Bug Bites

My little monkey woke up with a big bug bite on his cheek. To soothe bug bites, I just rub a little of Young Living's Purification essential oil on the bite.

Day 14 Loving YL - Neutralize odors in a stinky vacuum

I thought vacuuming was suppose to make your house cleaner, not make it smells like a wet dog! Pet owners know what I'm talking about. I opened up my vacuum and put 3 drops of Purification essential oil by Young Living onto the air filter today before I vacuumed. My house smells great! Not only did it smell great, but the purification actually neutralizes the odors in my house. Why haven't I tried this before?
