Toxic shampoos and beauty products are a thing of the past. With a few simple ingredients that you probably have around your house, you can make your own for cheap. If you have not figured out the beauty of castile soap, hopefully you soon will. It comes in a bar or liquid format and you can use it for everything from shampoos, to body wash, to face wash, to hand soap... you get the point. Feel free to find what essential oil combo works best for your hair. A quick search of Google will probably guide you to which essential oils are best for certain hair types.
You will need:
- 4 oz. filtered water
- 4 oz. Dr. Bronner's Castile Liquid Soap {Amazon link}
- Young Living essential oils
- 8 oz Cobalt Blue Plastic Bottle w/ Black Disc Lid 6 pk {Amazon link}
Instructions
First choose what combination of essential oils you'd like to use. Here are some suggestions: 16 drops rosemary & 2 drops peppermint Young Living essential oil 16 drops lavender & 2-3 drops peppermint Young Living essential oil 16 drops cedarwood & 2 drops tea tree Young Living essential oil 10 drops tea tree & 4 drops peppermint Young Living essential oil
Add the castile soap and essential oils to your container and shake. Add the filtered water and shake to combined.
Use as you normally use your regular shampoo.
