Instant Pot Pressure Cooker - BEST Kitchen Appliance Ever

My friends have been talking about their Instant Pot pressure cookers for a few months now, but never paid much attention. On Black Friday, my friend posted a sale on this elusive Instant Pot. Just about every friend I know purchased one within an hour! Ok, this got my attention and I had to look into this. After some quick research on the Instant Pot, I decided to purchase one as well. I purchased the IP-DUO60 7-in-1 {Amazon link}. What did I have to lose? I was looking for a new slow cooker and the Instant Pot doubles as a slow cooker. OH MY! I have been missing out on this little beauty for how long? I immediately took it out of the box and conducted the water test. Ten minutes later, I had a batch of apple cinnamon steel cut oatmeal in the works. Needless to say, I recommend this pressure cooker to everyone. "This ain't your momma's pressure cooker!"

Just what are the "seven" features you might ask? Here are the seven features of the 7-in-1 Instant Pot: Pressure cooker, Slow cooker, Rice Cooker/Porridge Maker, Steamer, Sauté/Browning, Yogurt Maker & Warmer. What more could you ask for? A pot that I can sauté and cook in the same pot AND not have to keep stirring during the cooking process AND saves me time ..... I'm sold!

If money is not an issue, then the Instant Pot IP-Smart Bluetooth-Enabled Multifunctional Pressure Cooker {Amazon link} might be more your style. It is Bluetooth® Smart compliant to connect to smartphones/tablets, providing easy to use interfaces to control and monitor cooking progress in graphics. The cooker’s functionalities can be upgraded and expanded after purchase. Cooking procedures can be written in recipe script and shared with friends. I don't have this one (yet!), but I have a few friends that recently purchased this one and they love it.

Just released! If 6qts is not big enough for you, Instant Pot now has an 8qt version! It has a delay cooking time up to 24-Hours and a manual setting up to 240 minutes of cook time.
