Make your own homemade foaming hand soap with 3 simple ingredients (and water of course). Foaming hand soaps are cute gifts for teachers, friends, co-workers, etc. This would be a great small gift or an addition to a gift basket.
You will need:
- 2 Tablespoons Dr. Bronner's Castile Liquid Soap - unscented {Amazon link}
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet almond oil {Amazon link} or fractionated coconut oil {Amazon link}
- 10 drops Young Living essential oil(s)
- 8oz foaming hand soap bottle {Amazon link}
Instructions
Add the liquid soap, almond or fractionated coconut oil (or carrier oil of choice like grapeseed {Amazon link}, jojoba oil {Amazon link}, avocado oil {Amazon link}, etc.) and essential oils to your bottle. Fill with water, but leave some room at the top. Decorate with a label or gift tag. I like to include the refill instructions, because no doubt they will ask you for the recipe! You can add more almond or coconut oil for extra moisturizing if you'd like.
You can add any essential oil or combination of oils. Here are some of my favorite combos:
10 drops Thieves
7 drops Thieves & 3 drops Peppermint
5 drops Lavender & 5 drops Peppermint
5 drops Lemon & 5 drops Lime
5 drops Peppermint & 5 drops tea tree
10 drops Citrus Fresh
10 drops Lemongrass
4 drops clove, 4 drops Orange 3 drops cinnamon bark
